Interests:
I come from a large family of physicians and have been around the medical field all my life. Having grown up in McKinney, Texas with parents who have been practicing physicians in North Texas for the past 30 years, medicine was my destiny. Since the age of 10 years old, I grew up near Mckinney, Texas. I have been a practicing physician since 2005 and a practicing nephrologist since 2008. In 2008, I joined Tarrant Nephrology Associates immediately after completing my residency and fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nephrology. The field of nephrology captured my attention while I was in my second year of medical school because of the complex and challenging nature of kidney disease.
I have a particular interest in treating autoimmune kidney diseases, electrolyte disturbances, acid/base disturbances, resistant hypertension, and managing hemodialysis vascular access issues. In addition, I am competent in all other areas of general nephrology such as dialysis management, acute kidney injury management, chronic kidney disease management, and post-transplant kidney care. I've been married to my lovely wife since 2001 and have two precious daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching football, and weightlifting.
